The Lord Reigns In Majesty
This brief Psalm is without title or name of author, but its subject is obvious enough, being stated in the very first line. It is the Psalm of the Omnipotent Sovereignty of God. Jehovah, or Yahweh, despite all opposition, reigns supreme. Possibly at the time this sacred ode or poem was written, the nation was in danger from its enemies. The hopes of the people of God were encouraged by remembering that the Lord was still King. What sweeter and surer comfort could they desire? Today, I call us to take time to examine this brief psalm to discover why I have decided this is the psalm of God’s majesty. But you say, How so? Let me give you the five reasons in Psalm 93 why our God is so majestic.
