In addition to what Elder Pyles has said in this short exhortation please also consider how disruptive it can be when someone arrives late and the singing has already started and someone comes in who wants to talk to others, whether many or few. The song service is part of the worship service.
As for singing during the handshake observe how disorderly the handshake singing can be. The greetings and talking can be so bad that the tune or the place in the song is completely lost.
The church service is not over until the last amen is said and only until after that should the banging of chairs and setup of eating tables begin. (1 Corinthians 14:40 seems applicable even here IMO)
