One of Paul's prison epistles. Paul writes very confidently for one in prison. He writes a small letter to the Philippians. Paul tells us we are servants of the Church. Prayer and thanksgiving are themes of this book. Why is Paul so confident? Verse 6: God will finish what He has started. The Saints will persevere. Theology is a study for the joy of God in Christ. Sanctification is a part of perseverance. We need to remember that we are God's workmanship, we need to be reminded who made us.
