As with our previous studies of the prophets, it is not possible to give an in-depth and detailed examination of the Book of Daniel in one message. That is not the purpose of our studies. Our purpose is to set each prophet in the context of the time of their ministry, to glean some general characteristics of the man and his message, thereby obtaining a general overview of his ministry. This is what I wish to do this evening. I want to glean some general observations which will lay a foundation for future study of the Book of Daniel. The Book of Daniel presents us with some wonderful gems of truth, gems in the midst of beasts.
