Great Sermon! On the level of “Sinners in the Hand of an Angry God” by Jonathan Edwards. Second half is legend.

Great Sermon! Unbelievably humbling sermon. I first heard about this sermon from a sermon by Paul Washer. This sermon reveals the truth in all its sharp edges. It will sting, it will afflict your soul and will set you on the narrow Way.

This sermon changed my life I first listened to this sermon in 2004. It was shattering. I cannot explain the impact it had on me. That night I didn't sleep... and I don't believe I have ever been the same since. It transformed my view of God, my prayer life, my attitude toward evangelism and missions - everything. I still listen to it regularly. The echo of truth founds its way into a heart opened by the grace of God and I remain thankful for the day I was introduced to it. I write here now to commend it to those who have never heard it. I believe with all my heart that this sermon (and this message) needs to be heard more urgently than ever. May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering!

Great Sermon! What a blessing! And how necessary it is for us to understand that all things are of God and through God and for God; and that we are not the center of God's universe. If only this message would reach every church and every Christian.

Great Sermon! this sermon was really helpful to me.... I praise the Lord for paris Reidhead whom God used as a mighty vessel in His ministry.... he being dead yet speaketh...(Heb:11:4). God made me to listen to this at d ri8 time....n r8 moment. Whatever v do....it must be done for HIS glory alone....n nothig short of it. The lamb who was slain receive all d glory and honour....May God use us as HE wills for HIS glory....may the people of this generation join hands for the proclaimation of the gospel not because v deserve HIM but because HE deserves us..........as HE paid the price for us. Great Sermon! On holiday in Turkey my mp3 player throw a fit and I was only able to listen to 3 sermons on it, one of those sermons was this one on the third time of hearing,God (in his mercy) allowed the message to drop from my head to my heart, so please listen to this sermon until it drops into your heart. It altered my whole concept of who God is and what he expects and my motivation toward him.

Outstanding! One of the Best I have listened to this at least five times now. What a message! Genuinely one of the best sermons that was preached last century. Just as relevant today also. And my my! From the OT! It just goes to show...

Life changing! I'm 19 years old, have been saved since I was 12 and most of my Christian life I've been serving Micah for ten shekels and a shirt. I made God my means to an end but now I make God's glory an end to all my means. May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering!

Thanks be to God. As an 82 yr old English woman, - this amazing and surely blessed Sermon was a welcome breath of Spring, and I gladly pass it to others. God Bless Paris Reidhead and all who remain faithful to the Living Lord.

So VERY NEEDED I must have listened to this and Paris Reidheads other sermons hundreds of times. Oh how we need to get back to Christianity and not some pseudo pop culture comfy club.

ABSOLUTELY RELEVANT! Where are the men and women God uses as a means to preach the gospel for His glourious benefit and where are the men and women who use the gospel and God as a means of their own human gratification? Hearing this message, I've got a conclusion to 2 kinds of christians at the present age:1. christians that God is using as a means of His glorious end and 2. christians using God as a means to their humanistic ends. May we humbly ask ourselves where do we belong. honestly...

Great Sermon! GREAT life changing sermon !! listen to it first couple months after i was saved. Have listen to it several time since total helps me get God centered. If he would have started with "its not about you" could have been the purpose driven life sermon of the 80's. PRAISE BE TO GOD!!!!!!
Paul Reidar (5/29/2008)
One of the greatest sermons of our time! The first time I heard this sermon I reacted to what was being said. Not because it was wrong, but because it described EXACTLY my own "christianity" and revealed the humanistic selfishness behind it. I've heard it many times since, and it's still refreshing! To think that this was preached so long ago, God really used Paris Redhead in a great way, and will continue to use him through this message today!
Mike Jones (2/16/2008)

Must Hear! Considering how long ago this it was preached, I think the relevance of this sermon has grown as the years have gone by. If you were only able to download one sermon from Sermon Audio then this one is without a doubt the one to get. This sermon should be transcribed and preached in every church in the nation.

Changed My Life. God used this sermon to radically change my life. I have never been impacted by a message like I have from this one. For the first time in my life I became truly broken before God, as I saw the intense evil and selfish ambition in my own heart.
Thanks be to God for Jesus Christ and the Cross.
David Severy (10/12/2007)

Humbling sermon. Someone has said "the truth always appear negative when it first appears. This sermon is a wake up call to be sure. Much has further decayed since 1980. But God remains faithful. Thankfully our God is pleased by our faith, and does reward us as we dilligently seek Him. Nonetheless let us humble ourselves hourly.
Cbcpreacher (10/10/2007)

Definitely needs to be heeded!!! As a pastor, this sermon not only reminded me that christianity is all about God, but that I need to get this point across to my people. Thanks, SA, for putting sermons like this one on your site for us to hear! If you haven't heard it yet, please, listen! If you have heard it, listen again!

Great Sermon! I believe this message needs to be heard by all the members of Christ Our

it!!!!

Butch Boruff (9/7/2007)
Great Sermon! Incredible, incredible message. I plan on listening to this several times, for it all can not be understood at one time. But enough brought conviction to my heart to cry out to God, to take all of my humanist thoughts and things I had accepted, but were not accepted by God. May all who hear, heed the words, for they are truth to the soul, and manna for the heart. Praise God
Santana (7/27/2007)
Great Sermon! WOW!! Possibly the greatest sermon I have ever heard! Truly a powerful turning point in my christian faith! May Our Lord get the Glory He richly deserves!
Robert D. Hall (6/24/2007)
Great Sermon! Where are the men & women who would sell themselves into slavery for the Redeemer's purchased possession? A wake up call for modern American Christianity or Religiosity. We are slaves to Christ, and should live that way, yet most are afraid to pray and Thank God for their food in a public restaurant. He is worthy of those He dies for!

If ever God spoke thru men Truly, the grestest and most needed sermon of our time. Outside of Holy Scripture itself, 10 shekels and a shirt has to be the most powerful and genuine word from God in our modern time. It leaves no doubt that God Himself is breathing the truths therein. Not with an audio voice, but THE TRUTH OF THE AGES FINDING THEIR WAY INTO AN OPEN HEART! Every Christian should hear this message, humble their heart and heed the warning. Absolutely shattering!
rosemarie (12/27/2006)

what a warning to the church this message holds a great deal of revelation from the Holy Spirit for all of us who love the lord and trust his word to live by. it is convicting, challenging and warrants that all of us be fully engaged and aware about what and who we are lending our ears to. contending for the faith is not for cowards but for men and women of faith.
Peter Williamson (10/28/2006)

Great Sermon! This is an outstanding sermon, every twice born believer would do well to hear this they will be edified. As their eyes are turned away from the emptiness of their own mind and the futility of following the ways of the world system to seek faith to love Almighty GOD with all their, heart and soul and being.
Pilgrim (10/26/2006)

Great Sermon! Absolutely RIGHT ON!
He shows how the religion of Christianity today is in reality an extension of HUMANISM instead of Christianity. Humanism is an entry point to receiving the Gnostic gospel which is now starting to be preached behind pulpits today, is it any wonder?
For 30 years i have been guilty of using a humanistic approach to preaching the gospel, before coming to this understanding. We must return to the correct gospel of Jesus Christ, and reject the mainstream "Christianity" that is being presented in almost every church across the land.

Great Sermon! It has been a long time since a sermon has made me literally sob thinking of what my Savior did for me and how little I do for him and why I so want to do more. what a blessing this sermon was.

Life Changing Message! You MUST listen to this message over and over! This is one of the greatest sermons I've ever heard preached. He preaches with great power and great wisdom. May GOD give you a great burden for revival.
Joseph LoSardo (8/28/2006)

Exceptional Sermon! This is the best, most convicting and God-centered sermon on the motivation for missions, ministry and evangelism that I have ever heard. Every Christian should listen to this sermon and afterward reflect upon whom it is that he serves. I think that if we are honest, the God whom Reidhead describes just may not be the God whom we have been serving. May this sermon lead many to repentance!

Sound teaching This sermon explicates why and how one ought to serve God. If you are a servant of Jesus, then you should listen to this sermon. I do make such recommendations lightly but this one I make without reservation. He clearly demonstrates how the philosophical stench of Humanism drives the lives of many Christians and thier relation to God. I was and am such a one. Listen to this sermon and you might find resembling yourself. Take the time to hear this and move towards Christ-likeness who served God not for Himself but for God's glory...
David Graves (11/16/2005)
Great Sermon! This sermon is so worth the listen and application to our lives. Such a great reminder of why we serve and to whom. I often thought I was witnessing to people because it was all for them or to help them come to know Christ. It is to some extent, but more than this, my service is for God's glory. This sermon is a great reminder to us all that all our Christian service is not for us or even for others, but all to the glory of the Lord.
Jim (11/11/2005)

Great Sermon! Why should we serve God? Perhaps you already know the answer to this question. If so, I still hope you'll take the time to listen to this sermon; if nothong else, it will strengthen your belief in a very stirring way (it's a very powerful sermon!). However. if your more like I was, before hearing this, totally committed to serving God, but for SEVERAL reasons, then I pray that you'll listen to this sermon. We all know that it takes a continual effort to keep our "spiritual compass" aligned, and, believe me, I just got a good realignment!). Before the sermon was even over, I realized (as the preacher was very elequently pointing out) that there is ONE AND ONLY ONE reason to serve God, and it is the ONE AND ONLY reason that Jesus served Him. Moreover, Jesus repeated this ONE reason throughout the Gospels. DO you know the ONE AND ONLY reason to serve God? Do you want to be sure? In the name of Jesus, I pray that you will listen to this sermon. And, may you be blessed in all the ways necessary for you to add to God's Glory in all ways!

Great Sermon! This was an absolutely stupendous sermon. I cannot begin to express what this sermon has meant to my life. I've listened to it at least 4 times in the last few weeks. I've been a Christian for 33 years and yet I finally now realize what it means to follow Christ because of this sermon. The ONLY way I can be released from sin is by God's grace, not by anything I do. It doesn't matter what happens afterwards. I need to follow God because He is worthy of it! I honestly cannot tell you how my life has changed and literally my cup runs over with blessings.

Great Sermon! Here is a man in the cut of men like Lloyd Jones and Tozer and perhaps one who speaks with a greater measure of power than they. preaching like this is what is lacking it's straight and leaves you without doubt on where you stand, before a Holy God.

One of the most powerful sermons I have ever heard. In the last 3 weeks I have listened to this at least 5 times. I am astounded at the simple truth of the message. I am still trying to put it's impact on me in focus.

The message for this generation. This message really brings a message from the Holy Spirit to this generation. It was preached once and never again, and the impact of this message in recorded form has been phenominal. Many people have been saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost for service in Gods Kingdom. Don't be slack listen to this sermon today! and tommorow and the next day until its spiritual truth impacts and changes your life.

Great Sermon! I have not yet listened to this message in its entirety, but I must say this: this message is a VERY powerful sermon. With no exaggeration at all, I cried my heart out because of the effect this message had on me. If you truly desire to serve God and serve Him for the right reasons, you must listen to this message.

Sermon Overview Inadequate!!! The real point of this sermon is an indictment of individuals and organizations practising humanism behind a mask of Chritianity! This sermon should be preached on a regular basis in every churc in America!

Great Sermon! This is by far and away the greatest sermon of the 20th century. Your life will be changed by the powerful words of this message from the Heavens above. I only wish there was more Reidhead on this site!
Paris Reidhead devoted his life to communicating the message of the Gospel in America and throughout the world. A student pastor in the rural Minnesota at age eighteen, Mr. Reidhead felt led of the Lord to overseas mission work. In 1945, Paris Reidhead and Marjorie, his wife of...
