Several years ago I was at a tractor pull with some of the kids in rural Missouri. This tractor pull was part of a county fair. Seated near us was a fairly large group of Mennonites. As the event was getting started the announcer asked us to all stand and remove our hats for the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance. I noticed that none of the Mennonites stood and none took off their hats. Why not? The act of taking oaths is the reason and we will take that issue in hand Sunday night. I hope you will return for this important issue from the Catechism and God's Word.
