Many people bring their problems to Jesus’ followers and think they’ve been to Jesus. We must meet with Jesus, not the people at church or anywhere else. As believers, we are to point people to Jesus and pretend that we are Jesus. If we bring our problems to Jesus, our issues appear to get worse. Jesus is not ignorant; He knows what is in our hearts. In this passage, Jesus rebuked the demon from the boy when the crowd started gathering. Before casting out the demon, Jesus, addressed the more significant problem that the father had, unbelief. We are not to look at circumstances; we are to see Jesus. God has built into creation, tons of examples of His creativity, Jesus was showing His disciples what He would go through, but the disciples did not understand. Jesus still loved His disciples. Today Jesus continues to love us though we don’t always understand Him.
