The Downdrafts of Life. Psalm 107:25 Psalmist speaks of God raising stormy winds and lifting waves. These winds, like downdrafts, can leave us feeling out of control. But even in these moments, we must remember that God is sovereign, and His power is greater than the storm. Life is often compared to a sea voyage, where we encounter calm waters as well as stormy gales. In this message we explore how God sovereignly allows the downdrafts—the difficult and trying moments of life—to refine and shape us for His purposes.Though the storm winds may rage, we can find peace knowing that God commands both the winds and the waves. Our security rests not in avoiding the downdrafts but in trusting the One who guides us through them.
