(The Problem) --Seeking salvation in ANY other means is a forfeiture of that salvation. --Scripture holds this high standard to prove that we are incapable of achieving it. 2. God has made it clear; salvation is a gift from Him. (The Correction) a. Our inability to keep God's law is plain to those who are honest. b. God has told us plainly that faith is necessary for salvation. c. Keeping rules is not the same thing as faith. --The requirement is 100% compliance. d. God Himself satisfies the requirement of His law by placing our guilt on His Son. 3. We MUST seek salvation in the unmerited grace of God, NOT in ritual or observance. (The Follow-Through)
