Dave Conant is the pastoral assistant at Tri-County Bible Church. With this sermon, Dave begins a three part series on Holiness, and he begins this message by showing from the scripture that the call to holiness is, at its heart, a call to change. God desires to change us, and with this fact in mind Dave very carefully proves from the text that the battle for personal holiness begins in our minds. If we make an effort to meditate on the Gospel (especially in times of suffering) and cultivate a strong distaste for sin, we will progress in personal holiness.
