I. God's tender love for His people (33:1-5). II. The blessedness of being God's people (33:26-29). MOSES 1. Moses stumbled in his life (32:48-52). 2. Moses labored to the end (34:7). 3. Moses experienced God's grace near the end (32:52; 34:1-4). 4. Moses died faithful in the Lord (34:10-12). CONCLUSION: Moses was faithful, we learn from Hebrews, over God's house but God's son is faithful over God's house as the son. What is that house? It is His people, we are that house, whom Christ purchased with his blood.
Heb. 3:5-6 "Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, 6 but Christ is faithful over God's house as a son. And we are his house, if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope."
We have Moses as an example; we have Christ as our Savior and Lord. Moses was not perfect; our Lord is. Moses did not die for us; Jesus did. Moses needs Jesus; so do you and I. If you have placed your faith in Him then you must "hold fast" your confidence — by dying faithful in the Lord.
