David DiCanio has lived in Africa for seven years. When he first arrived he was struck by the poverty all around him. But then, he saw a poor beggar throw out his balance of rice after finishing his meal. This started DiCanio on a journey to discover the biblical definition of true poverty, and led him down a path to address the issues surrounding affirmative action, apartheid, democracy, and the protestant work ethic.
In this message DiCanio addresses these issues from Proverbs 14:34 – “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”
