The cartoon character Bart Simpson once expressed the typical human attitude to God: 'Thanks for nothing!'. But in Gods Word we are confronted with the command to give thanks to Him, because He is good, and because His mercy endures forever. In this message we examine whether we do indeed have any reason to be thankful to God, and find that the answer is a resounding 'yes' - not just because we have things to enjoy in this world, but because we have a glorious Saviour who has laid down His life for people like us, and secured eternal life for all who believe in Him. This sermon was preached at the Cheltenham Evangelical Free Church Harvest Thanksgiving, and marked the close of Jonathan's preaching ministry there.
