We see in this portion of Scripture how God answered the prayers of Hannah and Samuel. Israel repents and now they have the reality of God. They now face the Philistines with new hope and confidence. The battle was fought by Samuel on his knees. We, too, must battle on our knees.
In true prayer, the fruit of the Spirit is working in the heart of the one who prays. We must be a people of prayer.
We also see that sorrow penetrates deeply and yet we see all working toward the final plan of Christ presenting His church without blemish.
Hitherto the Lord hath helped us. May we never turn from Him.
