This sermon needs to be shared with many others, and I would urge all those who listen to it to speak out in their churches.
Two points I would like to add: First, this crisis unfolded because our society has ignored God's warnings of the danger of debt and tragically many churches have been complicit in their tolerance of the credit industry and their usurious practices that have enslaved an entire generation.
Second, the waning biblical influence has led to a cultural/business shift from a willingness to work hard and manufacture products to serve others to now a desire for quick and easy money through financial speculation which now accounts for 20-30% of America's GDP.
Past empires (Spanish, Dutch, and British) followed a similar pattern and America's future is dire unless we repent before our God. It is time to study the lessons of history and to immerse ourselves in God's word, and then to fight with all our might to help others and to advance God's kingdom.
