“Progressive Christianity???” Those Crazy Corinthians! Part 9 (1 Corinthians 2:6-8) 1) God gives wisdom to His people who are equipped to handle it. The wisdom we are given is not of this world, or derived from the leadership of this fallen world. (1 Corinthians 2:6; John 1:1-18)
2) The wisdom of God was a mystery to this world and their “god”, because God’s wisdom is superior to this world and their “god”. God in His sovereignty had a plan of salvation for mankind before the foundation of the world.(1 Corinthians 2:7 John 18:19-24,28-40; Revelation 13:1-8)
3) The “Power Structure” of this world crucified Messiah because they were citizens of the kingdom of darkness. They did not have the ability to identify Messiah because they were filled with the qualities of their Father the Devil. (1 Corinthians 2:8; John 8:31-47).
