Today we will address the grace of God in regeneration, or the new birth, by which God brings His people to experience conversion. This is a historically reformed, or Calvinistic understanding of the doctrine, which we would argue is the teaching of Holy Scripture. The new birth is the sovereign work of God whereby He imparts a new heart, that springs forth in new life, thus enabling the sinner to believe and embrace the gospel unto his salvation.
