Price proves why Presbyterianism is the only form of church government that is instituted of God in Scripture. He then takes this truth and demonstrates the practical outworking, as seen in the blessings or curses of God, upon those who either obey or stumble at this teaching. This sermon also instructs believers in the marks of the true church and warns against joining with those corrupted bodies which are not biblically constituted. Some of the same truths are applied to nations (and civil 'ministers'). Price notes that unlawful, covenant-breaking, Christ-rejecting, nations presently include Canada and the USA. He also blasts Arminianism, schism (showing how we must sometimes separate to avoid schism) and idolatry! The old Reformation fires burn hot here.
