As we follow Jesus' path, we will find some of the same opposition and hardship that He faced. He not only suffered hard times, He was persecuted to death. If we follow Christ well, we must receive His help, and His encouragements during those times. We will find the this in the worship service and the final beatitude in the Sermon on the Mount.

Great Sermon! Very encouraging sermon on persecution! We must be careful how we define insult. After all, the scribes and Pharisees no doubt found Jesus' words to them in Matthew 23 insulting. Yet Jesus called them "hypocrites" to rebuke their bad example! We must let what we say to others be guided by Matthew 22:37-40!
