Important lessons for the instruction of our covenant youth, and dealing with our own doubts and questions are learned from this account in Luke. John hears the 'circus reports' about what Jesus has been doing and begins to wonder if he rightly understood God's instructions. He sends his disciples with an honest question and Jesus returns an honest answer by showing what is really happening with His ministry. Jesus goes on to show that we as New Covenant Saints who have the completed Cannon of Scripture are greater than John the Baptist who was the greatest of the Old Covenant Saints! The lesson here is that we and our young people must learn to be who we are in Jesus! Finally, Jesus gives a sober warning to His skeptics and Pastor Stoos uses Proverbs chapter one to remind the Saints that we must listen to and obey the voice of Jesus!
