In Exodus 20:15, “Thou shalt not steal” is of course one of the Ten Commandments, and is broken probably more times than any of them. Stealing is a worldwide problem that seems to grow worse with the passing of time. Just any place on earth where you find a little pile of money, the thieves fly in from all directions to steal some of it. It reminds me of the black birds, how they fly in by the hundreds when the snow is on the ground, looking for something to eat. Sometimes you see a thousand snow birds searching for food when the weather is freezing cold.

I was an infantry soldier in World War II and saw combat action in Germany. One thing that amazed me was that when a village was all bombed out, looters descended upon it by the droves. They stole everything that was not damaged too badly. These people were so wicked to take advantage of their own neighbors by stealing their meager belongings at a time like that.

I have now lived to see a great part of our gulf coast blown down and destroyed, and thieves and looters rush in and steal what is left, instead of helping them. This is extremely wicked and sad. Yes, stealing is popular in America today. Millions are stolen every day. Some people make their living by just stealing. I think hell will be mighty hot for every one of them, don’t you?
