A NUGGET FROM THE EVANGELIST

Huey Diffey

There is one area of life where I excel and there is another area where I am a complete failure. I am a master at forgetting those things I should remember and a complete failure at remembering the things I would like to forget. We should be most grateful that God is not like us.

Consider some of the things God remembers. He remembers that we are flesh." For He remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again" (Psalm 78:39). God remembers that we are dust. "Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear Him. For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust" (Psalm 103:14). Our Heavenly Father remembers the righteous forever. "... the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance" (Psalm 112:6). According to Malachi 3:16 our God has a book of remembrance. "... and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name." Let us be encouraged and filled with assurance by remembering God will never forget a blood washed believer. He said, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee" (Hebrews 13:5d).
