However, we sometimes view our salvation in the Lord as a sole moment and that it's just an anchor point for the rest of our life of sanctification. And while this is partly true, it does not reflect the total picture. We, living in the 21st century do not have to re-sacrifice Christ.

His work upon the cross of Calvary in the 1st century was sufficient to save us to the uttermost. "But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us..." (Titus 3:4-5). And yes, we experience a single moment where we changed from haters of God to children of God. "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Finally, our salvation will be made complete at the end of time where Christ calls us to Him. "Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life." (Romans 5:9-10).

Today, Pastor Joh n Samuel Barnett shows us that when we disciple others we are to tie our present salvation and the Bible to the rest of our life. The moment of salvation isn't a lily pad we leap from but it is a parachute that we use to travel through the rest of our lives.
