As recently reported by the Christian Post, Researcher George Barna released his 12 Most Significant Faith Findings of 2006. The report is an eye-opening list of conclusions from Barna Survey's conducted through out the year.
Some of the highlights from the report include: the statement that while a large majority of the public claims to be "deeply spiritual" only 15% of those ranked their relationship with God as the top priority in their lives.
Additionally, most of the pastors in the churches these respondents attend believe that most of their congregation considers their relationship with God their top priority - revealing a startling disconnect between the pastor's perception and his congregants reality.
Another survey conducted in February revealed that large numbers of professing Christians have not only have no idea what personal holiness consists of, but also only a small percentage of those interviewed believe that holiness is something that God expects from His people.
On the program today, we will discuss some of these findings in light of what the Scripture has to say re: true saving faith and the fruit that must follow.
