My dear friends, 2015 has rushed by so quickly that we have already hit 2016 with significant momentum. Before we slip over the end of 2016, let me take a moment to tell you all how grateful I am for your love and partnership in the Gospel over the past year.

I love the verse where Paul says, “When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” (Colossians 3:4)

How I have longed to rest my eyes on the lovely Jesus this past year; a longing that I carry with me into the new year. “Your Redeemer”, says Richard Baxter, “is at the door.” I trust you share the thrill of knowing Jesus and longing to be in His direct presence this new year. Isn't it this longing that drives the evangelist? The longing to draw as many as possible into glory with him.

Would you permit me the privilege of sharing a flying overview of some of the high points of 2015 to fuel your prayer-praise to God and to give you some direction for prayer for us in the year to come?

1. Evangelistic Events

   1. The year began with two evangelistic events in January and March, where I had opportunity to sing my own evangelistic music and to preach the Gospel. This, I hope to do more in the new year.

2. April in Port Elizabeth

   1. In April, our dear friends Neil and Nicole Anderson from Grace Bible Church in Port Elizabeth, afforded me the opportunity to care for their congregation while they were on leave. What a wonderful month it was, especially as it was topped off with their church camp at the end, where I delivered a series of messages from Matthew's Gospel.

3. Following Jesus Class

   1. This year saw us at Living Hope Church, Sunnyside, Pretoria, South Africa, trying to streamline a number of different classes we run for the church, into a more comprehensive course. We call it the “Following Jesus” class. It is always a joy to see how enthusiastically these courses are attended, and how hungry some of our people are to learn about Jesus.

4. Dating and Romance Conference

1. We also held a Dating and Romance Conference at Lynnwood Baptist, which was attended by many singles. We will definitely consider doing something like this again, especially in view of the large number of single people to whom me minister, who desire to live God-honouring lives in their singleness.....
