We have finished celebrating Thanksgiving, and now there is much talk about Christmas in all the shopping malls and businesses. While we always hear a lot about the holiday, we do not hear much about the Christ of Christmas who is the real reason for the season. To me, Christ is Christmas and Christmas means Christ and all about His birth. His birth was the greatest news this old sin cursed world could have every heard. A Savior was born, glory to His name!

But now we hustle, worry , and fret about the mad rush of traffic to get ready for Christmas, and at the same time leave Jesus out of most of our activities, don’t we? I am always reminded of what the Bible says in John 1:10, “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.” Then we read in verse eleven, “He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”

Yes, Christmas is all about Christ. But we see governments trying to remove Christ from everything, even the mention of his name. Even the pledge of allegiance mentions “under God” and many people want to take that out. But we are under God whether anyone likes it or not.

Don’t you find it strange, unholy, ungodly, and very unwise to try to remove Christ from Christmas? In all your celebrations, parties and activities, let Jesus be the center of all you do. He is worthy and you cannot live without him, as most Americans are trying to do. He should be your largest love offering and be the head of your home, life, and all other things.
