BLOG ON: SERMON A Family's New Beginning
Bethany Free Presbyterian Church
Dr. Ken Elliott
God loves the family unit. Psalm 68:6 says, 'God setteth the solitary in families....' In contrast to this, the devil of course hates the family unit and does all he can to devalue and break up family life. But thank God, the Lord still saves families ! Acts 16:31 says, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. ' In other words - believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and that goes for your family too - if they will also believe. Christian, keep praying for your family. Be encouraged as Rev Elliott looks at John 4: 46-54 and the account of the
nobleman who believed. And as a result of his believing in the Saviour, he saw the rest of his household (and that would have included his servants) do the same. Nothing is impossible with God ! Rev Elliott looks at this passage on a family's new beginning and..... 1. The Extensiveness That Marked It 2. The Crisis That Initiated It 3. The Process That Effected It This sermon was the closing message of our monthly family night service in October 2006.
