Take Time To Be Holy (HFG-09)

Have you ever been in a close, personal relationship with a person and didn't talk to them for days to weeks on end? Did you go for long periods of time without thinking about them? When they called you or texted you or emailed you, did you just ignore the message? When they wanted to hang out with you, did you make excuses, even lame ones, on why you couldn't? If you were making a difficult life decisions did you ignore any advice they gave you?

The above sounds absurd. How can those things be true and at the same time, the relationship be considered close and personal let alone a relationship at all. But isn't that the same thing we do with God at times? We go for periods of time without talking to Him, without listening to Him in His Word, without going to Him for guidance. You wouldn't do this with your wife/husband/best friend; why do we do it with God?

Well, good news! Use this message from Pastor John Samuel Barnett to kick off your time with God and seek a daily dose of time to be holy!
