We have been praying for the past almost 7 years for a better place to meet for our church. The building we have been using since November 2008 is an old church that had been abandoned nearly 20 years before. We fixed it up and made it presentable and usable but it was far out in the country and then a little over a mile of gravel to where it dead-ended. It was not a good place to get people to come and unless someone knew it was there no one would ever pass by it or find it.
Anyway, in May of this year the folks at a nearby church in town contacted us about donating their property to our church and disbanding their church. They had struggled for years with very few folks and therefore very little funds and they were down to one family that just could not bear the burden alone. The process was completed at the end of June and we are now meeting in the new property. It is enormous compared to what we have been used to. It is almost 22,000 sq. ft. of space, but it is quite run down and in need of much repair. The heating and cooling is in need of major repair, as well as the basement that was flooded, and the roof is going to have to be replaced soon. It is really quite overwhelming for us. We are very excited about it and looking forward to what the Lord is going to do there. We are certain that He provided this for us in answer to prayer, as it did not happen through any seeking or effort of our own. Therefore we are certain that He will provided for the increased needs we are faced with. The church is in a very good location. I went there as a child and have been acquainted with the church that occcupied the building all through the years, so it is an unusual situation, and I feel that we have an unusual advantage to use it for God's glory.
We have increased in number a little in the month we have been meeting in the new building, but the needs far exceed what our little group is able to supply right now. So any help that the Lord sends through his people is welcome. Some folks have contacted us asking about how they could send a donation to help. There is a donate button on the top of our Sermonaudio page. It is green and says, ,"Support." There is also a Paypal button for donations on our church webpage at the link below. Or the old-fashioned way still works, too - you can simply mail a donation to:
