Un Pensamiento de la Palabra
"Y como Jesús tomó el vinagre, dijo: Consumado es. Y habiendo inclinado la cabeza, dió el espíritu." Juan 19:30
Jesús tenía una misión que cumplir. Él fue enviado por el Padre al mundo, no con un propósito vauge, pero el mandato claro para salvar a su pueblo de sus pecados. Dios el Hijo vino a vivir, como un ser humano, en perfecta conformidad con la ley de Dios. ¡ Y lo hizo! Él vino a enseñar la voluntad de Dios, para mostrar a la gente la vida que agrada a Dios. ¡ Y lo hizo! Él vino a revelar más plenamente el carácter y la naturaleza del Dios verdadero. ¡ Y lo hizo!¡ Y lo hizo! "Consumado es", dijo. De hecho, Dios no requiere nada más que pagar para que el perdón y la justificación sea realizado. Nunca habrá ninguna otra ofrenda por el pecado que jamás será aceptable para Dios. ¡ Jesús lo pagó todo!¡ cualquier otro acto del hombre! Solo el acto de Cristo. Una vida de obediencia a Cristo es vital, pero es la respuesta a la salvación del pecado, no la causa de la misma.¿Hoy, s on las palabras de la boca de Jesús, "Consumado es" su garantía, confianza y seguridad? Aquellos que creen en Él y Su obra perfecta tienen paz con Dios (Romanos 5:1). Y los que tienen esta paz, tienen no sólo el perdón y justificació n, sino también el poder de Cristo para tener la victoria sobre el pecado en su vida diaria. Medita hoy en "Consumado es."
