“The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord.” Proverbs 21:31

Think of all activity of planning and preparation: making the grocery list, ironing the shirt, checking the tire pressure, typing the homework, looking both ways before entering the road. The list is endless. Most of life is lived in preparation, in managing details for the purpose of achievement. Preparation is essential. Without it, we are irresponsible, lazy, slothful. And yet, there is a real sense that preparation is useless. Our last verse informed that there is no understanding or counsel or wisdom(planning) against the Lord. Now, we are informed that preparation only results in the desired outcome when God intervenes to bless. Do not be mistaken – I am not encouraging irresponsibility. I am, however, encouraging you to never plan without including God in your plans. Our plans should always be led by three thoughts:
