Scrupture : Luke 2:10-11
Christmas thoughts…
Wondering at the wonder, following holy men of old in their contemplation of Christmas, let us think on this, shall we:
*The eternal creator of the universe…conceived in a moment of time, formed in a womb
*The I Am that I Am…taking on human flesh
*The Sovereign One…now as needy as a babe
*The Living One born…that He might die
*The Holy One…come to dwell among sinners and to take their sins…away
*The Desire of Nations, Love in our midst…rejected, hated of men
*Such a One, so mildly laying glory by…and we bring our gifts, our all, and worship and adore
*God’s unspeakable gift…and we cannot hold it in!
“ Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!” (Isaiah 12: 6)
“Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” ~An Angel, Luke 2:10-12
