(click link above for sermon) No man is an island.
Romans 14:7 says, 'For none of us liveth to himself...'
We have a responsibility to help others. But there is a deeper responsibility for a Christian.
We have the repsonsibility to tell others about the Lord Jesus Christ, and the salvation which is offered through His finished work at Calvary.
Rev Elliott looks at Proverbs 24: 11 & 12 under three headings :
1. The Ruin That Confronts Us
2. The Remissness That Concerns Us
3. The Reckoning That Challenges Us
As a Christian, you cannot fail to be challenged by this message and stirred up within your soul to 'tell it around and let it abound, there's life in the risen Lord.'
' If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain; If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not He that pondereth the heart consider it? and He that keepeth thy soul, doth not He know it? and shall not He render to every man according to his works?' (Proverbs 24: 11,12)

CHILD-LIKE FAITH
Sometimes salvation can be made out to seem complicated.
But the Lord Jesus Christ made it clear that it is something that even a child can understand. And He went further - He said that we must come in a child-like way.
Rev Elliott looks at this subject under the following headings:
1. The Experience That We Are To Undergo
2. The Elaboration To Ponder
3. The Entrance To Gain
4. The Emphasis To Note
What a joy that the Lord sealed the truth of this message in the salvation of a young lad after the service ! To God be the Glory !
'And Jesus called a little child unto Him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.' (Matthew 18: 2,3)
