“The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.” Proverbs 14:24
There is another version of this verse that is translated, “Their wisdom is a crown to the wise, but their foolish behavior is round the head of the unwise. (Pro 14:24 BBE)” This verse uses the root/fruit principle as it speaks of wisdom and foolishness. When a person sows wisdom into their mind and heart, wise living is the fruit. When an individual sows foolishness into their mind and heart, foolish living is the fruit. While sin seems complicated at times, when we get to the heart of the matter, you have never committed a sinful action that was not preceded by sinful thinking. You have never embraced a sinful thought without first embracing a faulty belief. And you have never embraced a faulty belief about sinful living while simultaneously having your mind renewed by the Word of God. What measures have you taken today to sow the seed of wisdom into your life?
