Greetings from San Carlos! We arrived here at about 3 PM after a beautiful drive along the east coastline of Negros Occ from Kabankalan. The drive took us past wide open sugarcane fields and up and over a mountain from one side of the island to the other. The drive took several hours and included numerous hairpin turns and travel on a road that was often 40 feet, or so, from the ocean shore. People were everywhere along the route! Homes are built from raw materials and are placed within about 10 feet of the road at times! Homes are also built right up to and sometimes over the shoreline as well. The sea is a beautiful deep aqua-blue and clear. We were thankful for Max's air conditioned vehicle as the weather has been in the upper 90's since we arrived. We will be treated to an air conditioned pension (small hotel) for the next two nights! Tomorrow begins the second Spiritual Boot Camp seminar. We will have the luxury of an air conditioned room at a community center for the seminar, so the day should be more comfortable for everyone. Please continue to pray for us!
