The topic being addressed here is discipline or a lack thereof. It takes discipline to get up and go to work every day. It takes discipline to fulfill required daily responsibilities on a regular basis. It takes discipline to take the wages that are earned and divide them up in a responsible way. Simply stated, it takes discipline to deny yourself what you want in the moment in order to have what you need in the future. The individual, who has accumulated wealth over the years through diligent work and management, will know how to handle that money in a wise way. The individual, who unlawfully or even suddenly come into wealth, probably will not have the discipline to manage that wealth with wisdom. If you want to know the “secret” to success, it is discipline. It is holding yourself to principles that exist outside of how you feel in the moment.
