"The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth." Proverbs 10:30
This verse is connected with the previous one, and seems to be referring to blessing and judgment. The idea that the righteous will never be removed refers to God not allowing their enemies to overtake them and plunder their land. However, the wicked will not inhabit their land very long before the Lord brings judgment on them. The promise here is the promise of peace to those who live a life of obedience and submission to God. This peace comes from walking in fellowship with God, not necessarily through circumstances. Those who try to live a life of obedience still have struggles and pains. However, they also have a foundation that holds firm through the storms of life. They are walking with the God of all Hope, and are not weighed down with the burden of their own guilt. They are sustained through every circumstance by the sufficient grace of God.
