Folks this weeks sermon, as we study our way through the book of Acts shows what we as Americans may soon feel; persecution at the hands of those that say they are our bothers and sisters. Those that think making a stand for Jesus Christ is not fair to all of those that believe otherwise.
There were churches who made a stand this week against threats by the govt. and the IRS that if they spoke of, or supported any particular person, or party within the confines of the church before the congregation that their tax exempt status would end. This was to make a point, but Bro. James was lead of the Lord to continue to speak on the book of Acts and the plight of the Apostles, and the Lord sure delivered again for this not only spoke to me an dothers but it also spoke very well to our plight with our government and the way that it is moving. They truly do not embrace God or any of the Bible's teachings, and they want to stop all the things of Jesus and the doctrines of the Bible!
Folks we as a nation need to pray, pray dearly for revival and a returning to God and to Christ! For we truly deserve persecution, and God turning his back on us for we have turned our back on him!
Please listen to this week's sermon; How would We Respond to Pain and Suffering?
Can you answer that right now? I seriously doubt it, for many churches preach these days that those that follow the ways of Jesus are roads to riches and sucess, and Christ never said following Him would be that way.
