Today Pastor Dan took a short break from his sermon series on Romans to preach on Psalms 4 & 5. He emphasized the importance of reading the Psalms as prayers on a regular basis to instruct us in the language of prayer. He also reminded us that the Hebrew rhythm of evening prayer, as we surrender ourselves to a believer's sleep, allows us to sleep peacefully because we have cast our cares upon Him.
Morning prayers as we wake bring us to the realization that God has been at work while we slept and now, in the new day, we get to enter into what He is already doing in our lives to accomplish His purpose.
