November 1 featured bi-annual Shepherd’s Retreat with about 33 pastors and wives attending. Attorney Jeffrey Conrad from Lancaster PA spoke to the men on Legal Dangers facing churches and pastors while Shirley Starr spoke to the pastors’ wives. Pastor Mark Montgomery from Pittsburgh also gave a testimony and preached on Wednesday’s midweek service. Pastor Chris preached twice and Mark Waltemyer once on Sundays. On the 27th, we had our bi-annual night when 4 men preach (10 min. each).
Angie Delp did a great job as our church newsletter editor. Steve Turner and his staff printed 15,000 for mailing. Swiler Delp and Andrea Speckhals set up the mailing. The people folded all the newsletters and Pastor Bill Hardecker and Rich Stemple delivered them to Harrisburg for mailing. What teamwork these projects required!.
December has several important ministries including: 8th Annual Home Schoolers’ Speech Day; 10th & 11th Annual Christmas Cantata by the church choir and cast; 14th Children’s Christmas program; and on the 16th The annual Christmas carol sing at the Galleria Mall in York PA.
