In contrasting the Old Testament with the New Testament, it seems as though most places in the O.T. God says “Go” and in the N.T. He says “come”. There was a separation between God and men, a kind of distance often found in the old scriptures: i.e. the mount at Sinai, the lepers in Leviticus and so on . . . But now the Lord Jesus Christ says ‘come unto me’ . . . that middle wall of separation is now bridged by the blood of the Lamb.
