A well-attended Easter Sonrise service. Even though it was held indoors one person said that the change from dark to light outside (despite the rain) during the service was a wonderful reminder that the darkness of the Cross was eclipsed by the glory of the Resurrection and our redemption from spiritual darkness to new life. Many thanks to Kris who crafter the order of services and preached at the Sonrise service, our deacons and others who set up outside and then had to bring it all in as the rain came in earnest. We really appreciate all your efforts!
The Easter Early Breakfast was a big hit. Many came and the food was wonderful. Our hats are off to Alan Lenig who organized the breakfast along with the assistance of Mallory, the Michael family and others including the “wait staff” of elders and some deacons. Bless you all – great ministry to the body and guests at WPC. As they say in southern Indiana, “Ya done good.”
The two morning worship services were glorious as the choir, brass mini-orchestra and the Lord’s people enthusiastically sang a clear message of the risen Christ. Special thanks to David Gilliam and the choir for all the hard work expended for the glory of our great God and King. There were some new visitors along with out-of-town family who joined us for a total well exceeding 500 in attendance. Please pray for the unbelievers who heard the Gospel to not be satisfied with anything but Jesus. Pray that our Easter gift bags that went to about 400 people would be read and that God’s Spirit would give no peace or rest to those who do not yet savingly know Him. Pray for conversions and the expansion of God’s Kingdom in Muncie.
Now pray for the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in all of our lives that we will live every day in light of the resurrection submitting ourselves to God’s will and serving Him with all of our hearts.
