Genesis 24 Without a doubt this is one of the clearest pictures of the gospel ministry given in the Old Testament scriptures. In the land where saving faith was manifested we seek for a bride for Gods heir. Let us then be assured, as was the faithful servant, that both Gods presence and our own is necessary for the work. Let us give ourselves to this work seeing it is the business of our masters’ heart and therefore our own.
And when in Gods good providence, she is brought before us at the time of drawing, may we be enabled to exalt the Heir and his Father in such a way as to convince her to leave all she knows and follow us back to Him.
