I once watched an extremely shocking video downloaded from the internet. It was of a prisoner being beheaded by his kidnappers. This video, and many like it, are a constant reminder to me that this world is truly messed up! It is fallen, ruined. But even though that is true, Christian people have thrilling, real, hope in Jesus Christ. Our salvation has already been purchased! Nothing can go wrong with the contract God has signed in His own blood! Even though God's people may face some shocking realities, like the one I mentioned above, even those realities are not enough to remove them from the glories God has purchased for them.
