God especially blessed our Wednesday, November 18th evening. Our youth saw 3 receive Christ at a service they held at the Salvation Army. In Masters Club, two Juniors received Christ while another prayed at the end of the adult service. We also had a visiting lady who rededicated her life to the Lord in tears after the adult service. What a spectacular, fruitful evening and one we won’t soon forget!
November 29th we have our annual Thanksgiving weekend 4-men preaching in the evening service. Their theme will be “The Christian’s Crowns.” One of our fine young men who has completed 4 year Bible College degree, Matt Parks, will leave for a 12 day trip to Portugal on the 23rd. He is praying for God’s leading in his life.
This was that stormiest December anyone here can remember! There was snow and sleet the night of the Annual Christmas Banquet which trimmed the attendance in half. Sunday, December 13th, sleet & freezing rain began at 8:00 a.m. enough for us to cancel Sunday School and have a sparse crowd for Morning service (under 200).
But Saturday, December 19th to Sunday early morning, we had a forever record for December of 20 inches of snow plugging as the back roads. We canceled Sunday School again, had just 45 for morning service, and 85 in the evening. These were the two days of our annual Christmas cantata as well as our soul-winning program. All was canceled. The cantata was rescheduled for Sunday, December 27th. Another ice storm is forecast for us for Christmas Day as I write this.
January has a lighter schedule although we do have missionary Chris Shull to Greenland planned to be with us Wednesday, January 13.

Mt. Zion is a best described as a place of vision and fresh starts where YOU can jumpstart your relationship with the Lord, grow in your knowledge of the Bible, find a place to serve, and meet many new friends. Your whole family will find a variety of opportunities and ministries.
We make no apologies for being known as an evangelistic, discipling, loving Bible preaching church that believes in taking a stand. Isn’t it time for you to return to … “Church the way it used to be”?
