Mark 10: 13: And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. 14: But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 15: Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. 16: And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

What is the kingdom of heaven? The Lord says the kingdom of God is sinners who come with the spirit of little children unto Christ. The poor in spirit come totally dependant upon their Wonderful Counselor, their Mighty God, their Everlasting Father, their Prince of Peace because he is all their need: their Wisdom, their Everlasting Righteousness, their Perfection of holiness, their Sovereign Lord. As long as we are rich in spirit, imagining that we are somebody with something in ourselves to bring to God then we are nothing and have nothing! But when the poor in spirit who have nothing and possess nothing come to Christ their All, they are taken up in his arms and blessed because the Lord says, "of such is the kingdom of God" and "theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
