In February we launched the Marriage Builders Sunday School class for Young Couples. It is well-attended and thriving after 6 weeks. The Discipleship class was also effective and has seen changed lives. Our annual Pinecar Derby in March was a grand success. Aaron Samples, assistant pastor from Illinois, preached 4 times and taught once during our Spring mini-revival. Altars were full of Christians. Open House Sunday saw 308 in attendance with 15 first time visitors and many of our newer families sticking around for the tour and fellowship.
Sunday-Thursday, April 12-16th, Dr. David Cloud, missionary to Nepal, author, and director of Word of Life ministries will preach on current trends and issues facing the church and Christians. Don’t miss this informative week of meetings.
Tuesday, April 21 at 6:00 pm, our Home Schoolers present a Music and Drama concert. The students are preparing vigorously for this special evening. Come and hear them.

In a day when churches nationwide are in a state of flux, giving-in to new philosophy’s of purpose-driven ministry and changing doctrines, Mt. Zion Baptist Church stands and faces the wind to remain the way we have always been—“Church, the way it used to be.” We stress solid Bible preaching and teaching, emphasize individual and family living for Christ, focus on reaching out to our community and the world with the Gospel, and try to guard against the influx of worldliness into the church. If you are looking for this kind of church, do something about it. Serving Christ can be fresh and exciting again. Come and worship with us this Sunday.
