7. Study Eph. 5:18-33 Here are some insights as to what God would have Husbands be toward their wives:
• V. 26 a priest, in leading his home in reading and heeding the word of God, in worship, in praying for his family.
• V. 31 a physician, in bringing healing and harmony (oneness) in relationships.
• V. 25 a pattern of love toward his wife and family , as Christ does to the Church.
• V. 23 a prince, as head of a God-given home, honoring the Lord as a servant-leader.
• V. 23 a protector, in guarding his family against physical, as well as spiritual danger.
• V. 25 a provider, in laboring, earning, and managing funds, to see that families basic necessities of life are met.
8. In Gen.. 18:19, God said about Abraham…”For I know him, that he will…(What?) look it up!
9. Each of us will have failures as a husband and father. Don’t despair about your failure. Use your failure to seek God for His Grace. His Grace will enable you to be what He teaches in His Word.
10. Let us encourage you to…
• Be converted to Christ if you are not.
• Get in a Bible preaching church, and be consistent and regular
• Have a family devotion time each day. (Suggestion: after breakfast or supper, read 1 chapter together and pray)
• Make God your 1st priority, your wife 2nd priority, your children 3rd priority, anything else after that.
