As you may know Presbyterians hold to 'Sabbath keeping' or keeping the Lord's Day (Sunday) holy. This issue is addressed in our Confession of Faith and Catechisms. In trying to apply what we believe about the sanctiying of Sunday as God's Day there are still issues that are needing attention that perhaps our confessional documents do not answer, such as a Christian having to work an occasional Sunday or lose their job. Dr. Wayne Pearce of Lairg and Rogart Associated Presbyterian Churches in Scotland has written an article on his SermonAudio site ( www.sermonaudio.com/waynepearce ) that gives some biblical thought to these issues and their practical effects for the church and individual. Brother Pearce also deals with some issues surrounding the Lord's Supper.
