THE PRICE AMERICA IS ABOUT TO PAY
How good God had been to Israel; how godless they had become. What a wonderful Source of abundant prosperity God had proven Himself to be to them; what wicked stewards they had proven themselves to be to Him. For His protection from their enemies and preserving them as a people Israel repaid God with nothing but presumption (Ps. 50:21) and religious pretense (Isa. 1:11-14). And so, almost, if not altogether, has been God’s relationship with America and America’s relationship with God!
The full force of God’s judgment has not yet fallen on this nation in spite of her sins. Because it hasn’t, the conclusion has apparently been that God can’t or won’t requite America for her sins; some have misconstrued God’s mercy and patience to indicate that He really doesn’t even exist, and so the country has gone from bad to worse in its transgressions. How true are the words of Ecclesiastes 8:11 where America is concerned: “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.”
America is about to find out the truth of the words of the poet who has written that the mills of God’s judgment grind slowly, so slowly as to almost seem at times not to be grinding at all; but they have been grinding, they are grinding, and the great wheels of God’s righteous and fierce judgment will grind exceedingly small. “Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance” (Isa. 40:15).
Read with grave solemnity what God finally said concerning froward Israel (Definition of froward: “turned away; habitually disposed to disobedience and opposition.”): “they are revolted and gone.” (Jer. 5: 23). There are many nations that have come and gone throughout the history of the world. Some are literally gone, and all that remains is the historical notation of their previous existence. Others are gone as far as their being of any significance in the world is concerned; Egypt and Babylon, each of which were world powers for centuries would fit into this category, as would the Roman Republic/Empire whose history spanned nearly three millennia. More modern nations like France, Spain and Great Britain, that at one time were major powers are now barely a shadow of what they once were. They all “sowed to the wind” in their effrontery to Almighty God and have been swept away in one way or another by the “whirlwind” of God’s judgment (Hos. 8:7). Comparatively speaking and for all intents and purposes, these nations, republics, empires, etc. are “gone.”
How about America with its short history thus far of less than 300 years; a nation that next to Israel has had the hand of God’s blessing upon its people more manifestly than all other nations of the world. Is the cup of God’s indignation finally full where this country is concerned? (Rev. 14:10) Is the “cup of His fury”, and “the fierceness of his wrath” about to be poured out upon us? (Isa. 51:7; Rev. 16:19).
Is it beyond the realm of possibility that America, might become the victim of a nuclear attack, either from terrorists within our unprotected borders, or from a hostile nation without; a nuclear attack that would do a thousand times more damage to us than that which was done to Japan when atomic bombs were dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima? The destruction could easily be such that within one hour we would be reduced to the conditions and the status of one of the most impoverished third world countries in existence today. America is in imminent danger of suffering the fate of ancient Israel to whom God said, “Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by” (Ezekiel 5:14).
Perhaps like nations of the past already referred to, America will not be obliterated entirely, but will completely lose its identity as a sovereign, independent nation. This has all but happened to individual nations in Europe that are now for all practical purposes become one entity known as the European Union. Our own president, with total disregard for the United States Constitution, along with other world financiers and international powerbrokers has worked and is working steadily to do away with The United States of America as an independent, sovereign country and morph this nation into an entity consisting of what was formerly Canada and formerly Mexico. This entity will be known as the North American Union. Traitors in the highest of places in America have conspired, and are on the verge of bringing this about. They have orchestrated matters to force this North American Unionization upon the American people through a step by step process which includes the following:
(1) Dismantling our economic structure, destroying our money system, nationalizing privately owned banks, businesses and industry. This has been the “trigger-pulled” on bringing America, under a socialistic system of government.
(2) Weakening our military by creating circumstances whereby it would be stretched so thin and be so scattered across the world that it would be ineffective in case of a real exigency. At the same time this weakness has served as a pretence for signing an unconstitutional pact with foreign countries authorizing the deployment of their troops on our soil. Further plans (already in place) are to use the military and the National Guard for police action against American citizens who may resist this encroachment on their lives and liberty.
(3) A continuing usurpation and misuse of Presidential or congressional power. The use of the military for the purposes referred to above is a violation of the Constitution. But this obstacle has been removed by the misuse of presidential power in issuing an Executive Order or Presidential Directive that in effect trumps (or is acted on as though it trumps) the United States Constitution. Such Executive Orders or Presidential Directives are provided for only in the case of national emergencies. The president decides, and can declare with the stroke of a pen when a national emergency exists. The present President has declared more than a dozen things to be national emergencies since coming to office). . Executive Orders can be, and for the first time in American history, has been, used to turn the presidency into a virtual dictatorship and America into a police state.
Thomas Babington Macaulay, The famous British parliamentarian, historian, essayist and poet predicted the ultimate demise of the United States in a May 23, 1857 letter to an American acquaintance. He said, “I have long been convinced that institutions purely democratic must, sooner or later, destroy liberty or civilization, or both… “You may think that your country enjoys an exemption from these evils. I will frankly own to you that I am of a very different opinion. Either some Caesar or Napoleon will seize the reins of government with a strong hand, or your republic will be as fearfully plundered and laid waste by barbarians in the twentieth century as the Roman Empire was in the fifth; with this difference, that the Huns and Vandals who ravaged the Roman Empire came from without, and that your Huns and Vandals will have been engendered within your own country by your own institutions.” Our Huns and Vandals are in the White House, the Congress and the courts; they are in our institutions of higher learning and in control of the press and other media outlets. They are as much the rod of God for us as the Assyrians were the rod of God for Israel.
Has God come to the same conclusion regarding America that He did with nations of the past? I seriously and sorrowfully suspect that He has. |
